A park model built to CSA Z241 code by definition is a recreational unit built on a single chassis mounted on wheels, meant to be relocated if necessary, designed as living quarters for seasonal camping, with a gross floor area not exceeding 538 sq.ft. when set up. Lofts are prohibited.
Transcend surpasses this code in so many ways, but we still follow the guidelines listed so every park model we produce is certified. We follow a stringent process and have multiple inspections to prove compliance.
While CSA Z241 code does not demand Vapor barriers, or ask for specific insulation values, we over build Transcend to be like a home. The “warm floor” system is unlike anything else on the market, we use full 2x6 wall construction, and an engineered truss rafter R40 roof! Canadian made dual pane, low e windows and doors and a properly sealed Vapor barrier make our units warmer and quieter!
As a custom manufacturer, we do not mass produce Transcend, but rather use journeyman trades to ensure a quality finished product. From inception to completion, allow 3-4 months with the unit actually online for 5-6 weeks. Limited production for these custom units means our line fills quickly, so get your order in!
